wright wasn't initially opposed to it. francoeur was the one who said he wouldn't wear it because it was ugly. the reason why it's so large is it's packed with extra padding. it becomes mandatory in milb in 2010 and then probably mlb a year or two later.

Don Beebe ran down Leon Lett in the SB, and Steve Tasker was labled a WR with like 6 career receptions, because he mostly played special teams.

Mark Kelso was the DB with the helmet pad thing.
