Bloc Party = a dash of Gang of Four + a pinch of Les Savy Fav + other stuff

It's 38x better than Franz Ferdinand, in my opinion.

Without a doubt the top three so far this year:

Archer Prewitt - Wilderness
Low - the Great Destroyer
Andrew Bird - & The Mysterious Production of Eggs

Can't decide which is best, however. And I still haven't heard everything I want to yet, either.

Called aurora. Being distributed in the US through Ninja Tune office. Street: May 31. Released on Madrona. Collab between BECKIE FOON (A Silver Mt. Zion, that which) and BRUCE CAWDRON (Godspeed), with input from HARRIS NEWMAN (Harris Newman), HOWARD BILERMAN (Arcade Fire), and others. Montreal-Godspeed wonderful incest. This is a far cry from their first record. MUCH much improved.

So far only three albums I would really recommend

Fiery Furances 'EP', Roots Manuva 'Awfully Deep' and Bonnie Prince Billy 'Superwolf'.

I've been listening to Thievery Corporation alot as well, although even though I like it I kinda think I shouldn't.

Yeah. There's even more percussion and ambience/droniness, I'd say. It's clearly just more fully realized. It makes sense through and through. It's only 40 minutes, which is perfect. Beckie sounds great on it.

Hey, elephantness, I've recorded a couple songs with Beckie before. Let me know if you're interested in hearing them some time.

Agreed. And I would add LCD Soundsystem and the new Doves to that list, too.
