They don't end until about the age of 21.

just finished Black Postcards

dean wareham isn't really a natural writer, but it was an interesting look at a low-tier bands inner workings as well as an artist's perspective on the advent of file sharing

My boss informed me this morning that they're cutting my hours by 15-20% per week...which is pretty much the same thing as a 15-20% pay cut.

I'm already making peanuts as it is and this is going to hurt me financially. My vacated hours are being given to other employees who are nothing short of being utterly incompetant...but they make less than I do.

Miserable start to a miserable week.

Basically, its a temper tantrum if either:
a) She doesn't get what she wants.
or
b) she doesn't get what she wants IMMEDIATELY!

oh boy! lol

You too? Holy crap since Esme turned 3 it's been insane. Plus she's potty trained now and feeling a HELL of a lot more independent in the house vs apt. Add two friends who are 4 1/2 and 9 and wow!!

I keep joking that if 3 is any indication of what 16 is going to be like we're in a LOT of trouble! hehe But a lot of my mom friends who have daughters this age also talk about the first 6 mos or so being crazy and that the closer to 4 they get the more they settle down.

Dalen:

We have a LOT of talking back, being defiant, name calling(she calls us poopyheads and naughty). Add the times when she hits us or out and out laughs when we try to give her time-outs. She won't stay still and when reprimanded she just looks at us and says(no joke) " ha ha". Sounds like the kid from the Simpsons when she says it.

Then of course there's what Dov was talking about. Wants it now and if she doesn't get it ohhh boy. Grocery shopping etc has become a nightmare because she wants EVERYTHING she sees.

There's the "I can do it go away" syndrome as well. Which is part of the I'm independent now issue.

Sounds awful BUT the best thing is she always says" I loove you mommy, I love you daddy". So that has a tendency to make up for the rest!

Don't make that wish too quick...

Jen has it right though...No matter how crazy and insane she gets....
Immediately, she can give me this little smile, and say 'Hi dada', and I melt....

I'm whipped bad. she definitely runs this household...lol

Is there a word (or words) for a container (usually a 40) being drunk out of a paper bag?

If not, there should be.
