I've been hoping for Vikings injuries all year but felt bad seeing that last night.

Terrible, gruesome injury. I was watching that game live and, even though I was rooting against Minnesota, I hoped I hadn't seen what I saw. It's somehow less gut-churning on youtube.

Oh, Donald Driver & Greg Jennings tried their worst, but Tramon Williams's Short Memory wouldn't allow it.

Next four: @Chicago, @Pittsburgh, Seattle, @Arizona. Three of four look quite winnable. & AZ will depend on their division cushion & if they can push ahead of NFC East leader &/or Minnesota.

Good times.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux has been arrested and charged with marijuana possession.

Gwinnett County Police Cpl. David Schiralli says Babineaux was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 85 in suburban Atlanta around 10:45 p.m. Thursday.

Schiralli says the 28-year-old Babineaux had nearly 1½ ounces of marijuana and is charged with possessing more than an ounce of marijuana.

Original reports incorrectly stated Babineaux would face intent-to-distribute charges, which can be brought any time someone has more than an ounce in their possession.

Babineaux also faces charges for having expired registration and driving without a license.

He was released from the Gwinnett County jail Friday morning on $8,300 bond.

A spokesman for the Falcons did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment.

He's really lucky the didn't pursue or dropped that intent to distribute charge, because then he would have been seriously fucked. What's the time table on this guy being released from the Falcons for this, or will they wait for the NFL to issue an indefinite suspension.

Please. He'll get a 3 game suspension and be back.

Dude has arguably been our best player on D this year. Albeit on an average-at-best D.

Not that I disagree with the logic on the marijuana charge, but doesn't the NFL substance abuse policy under Goodell guarantee a minimum four game suspension.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A man who acts as a mascot for the New England Patriots is among 14 people who have been arrested for prostitution-related crimes in Rhode Island since a new law went into effect that banned indoor prostitution.

The bill signed into law in November made prostitution a misdemeanor crime regardless of where it occurs. Previously, indoor prostitution was allowed because of a legal loophole.

State Police say Robert Sormanti of Warwick was among those arrested in an undercover sting at a hotel. The Providence Journal reports Sormanti is among the team's mascots.

The Patriots said in a statement that multiple people wear the mascot costume and that the "individual in question" has been suspended.

A phone message left at Sormanti's home Friday evening was not immediately returned.

Yeah unless they've got him on tape slangin' dime's out his car window, I'm not sure they can make a distribution charge stick for an ounce and a half.
