Nirvana's "Live at Reading" 2xLP is $10.97 right now on amazon.

Anyone know if this has the same editing/added fake crowd noise as the CD?

I heard "Spanish Stroll" by Mink DeVille on the way home last night.

If only Kerre Li (xx) had not quit the board, then she might have seen this request for information at Deadspin.

There's no way the place lives up to the commercial.

Last night, while dropping Cary off at his guitar lesson, I ran into Jim Peterik, of The Ides of March, and Survivor; also a very successful songwriting gun for hire. We had a brief conversation. (He did write the horn chart to "Vehicle".) And he asked if he could listen to my new CD.

Of course, I obliged.

The last time I had seen him he asked me if I was any good as a songwriter. I responded by saying, "Yeah, I think so. Other people seem to think so."

"But are you really any good?"

So, I signed his copy of the disc:
"Jim-
Thanks so much for listening. Am I really any good?
-Todd"

Then I put my email address on there.
We'll see if I hear from him. He's a pretty nice guy, if a bit of a character.

Isn't he also the guy singing on those "Real Men of Genius" ads?

The horns on "Vehicle" are EPIC.

USA! Fuck Yeah!

SASKATOON, Canada (AFP) – Defenceman John Carlson scored in overtime as the United States upset Canada 6-5 in the final of the World Junior Hockey Championships, snapping the Canucks five-year gold medal win streak.

Canada rallied from a late two-goal deficit to tie the game and send it into extra time but they couldn't hold off the speedy Americans attack for long.

Carlson capped off a three-on-one break with his decisive goal four minutes and 21 seconds into the extra frame in front of a sold out crowd of 15,171 at the Credit Union Centre.
