Dalen, can I get a re-up of the Vampire Weekend - I am curious enough, but some of my friends want it as well.

I listened to it again today while I was straightening up the crib and its actually pretty good.

no they haven't.

Technically they're still together, though half the band was jettisoned by James Mercer.

To me that's pretty much breaking up. Mercer pretty much is the band though. The other guys always seemed like they were along for the ride.

Gotta say, Broken Bells is mediocre. The only exception is The High Road. I find myself listening to that track on repeat. Unfortunately, the rest of the album just sort of exists. I am gonna give it a few more listens just to see if there's any "grower" aspect to it. If not, I'll probably just look to this album for the one track.

Same here. Heard good things and liked the first couple listens but it's faded quickly.

If nobody'd said anything, and Mercer released another album with a new lineup, nobody would be able to tell.

Cannot wait to get this in the mail.

Album Leaf reviews are bumming me out. I'll have to check it out for myself.

Album Leaf is what you listen to after you've had a full night of partying and just want to relax on the drive home... preferably with the sun rising.

Good Shoes - No Hope No Future - 2010

http://www.mediafire.com/?mzlyfzlz2th

The second album from South-London four-piece Good Shoes retains the upbeat feel of their debut, 2007's 'Think Before You Speak', but with a much more mature sound. 'No Hope No Future' no only displays the band's growth as musicians and songwriters, but also their increased ability in the studio itself. Frontman Rhys Jones' voice has developed into something more powerful, enabling him to sing with a bluesy resonance on some tracks. Preceded by the single 'Under Control'.
