Stace, thank you for posting this but Facebook did an amazing job of providing me birthday wishes the whole day. Still, Obner is home and it's always nice to receive wishes from the 'family'.

I had a fantastic birthday! I threw myself a 60's themed party at The Dresden Restaurant. For those of you unfamiliar with the The Dresden -- think of the movie "Swingers" in which one of the scenes was held in. It's a restaurant that's been around since the 50's, has a complete retro feel. When you walk in, you somewhat expect to see Frank, Dean or Sammy sittin' in one of the moon-shaped booths. I gave out retro candy -- wax soda bottles, candy cigarettes, bubblegum cigarettes, cigar bubblegum, Lemonheads, Charms lollipops, Pixi Stix, other stuff I can't even remember. The drink of the evening was definitely the martini.

The coup de grace was my outfit. I killed it on the hair, makeup and outfit...complete with black satin opera gloves, cateye makeup and big hair! If you've met me in person, you know that I have very curly hair and to see my hair straightened and BIG...well, it's just too funny for words! Other guests looked hot in gogo outfits, silk dresses and British Mod wear. I had a fantastic time!

It's now after 1pm, I've just woken up, my hair has barely moved from all the hairspray in it and my eyeliner is smeared. It's just how it should be, right? Wait, the strange hot naked man in my bed wasn't there when I woke up. Oh well, a girl can't have everything...but there's still the rest of the month to party it up!
