Well, he does it at our local community theater (which has a pretty great reputation) and he loves it.
Thanks to a referral from one of his directors there, he was invited to audition for the Chicago on Broadway production of Billy Elliot last week.
HE GOT A CALLBACK!!!
I took him for his second audition last night. At the frikkin Oriental Theater!
We find out in a couple of days whether or not he gets to play the role of Billy's best friend Michael. Due to child labor laws, they need several actors to play the role, so we'll see...
He had a blast at the auditions and has a great attitude about the whole thing:
"I know that I might not get it, Dad. And that's fine, because this was a lot of fun!"
