I don't know why I avoided this band for so long, something about the name threw me off. But I decided to download this one not hearing a single not of their other two albums.

And goddamn this was good. Like instant HOLY SHIT, I'M DIGGIN' THIS reaction. Can't wait to listen to it again.

yeah it`s great alright. Not a turd track on that disc. Careful though, I went crazy with it when it leaked and played it on repeat for days on end. It is not immortal. You will hit a point of too much, and it will die.

I put Teen Dream into hibernation for now and will wake it up in a few months.

i put this on again for the first time in a couple weeks and... am still sold 100%.

Saw this and enjoyed it quite a bit. I was actually pretty impressed that she actually sounds as good. Something about her voice on record made me think she might really suck live, but it was pretty much aces. That said, I think the guitar player was nervous cause he hit himself some stray notes a few times throughout.

Listening now for the first time. Since their vibe is low-key it takes a while for the songs to bubble to the top of my consciousness. Will give it time as I hear some things I like so far.

Yet another listen-through barely registering any of this album. I've rarely liked such an unnoticeable album so much.

I believe it just garnered the highest rating of a new album by Pitchfork this year with 9.0 today.
I finally downloaded it to see what all the fuss was about. They are playing in Omaha soon, so if it is any good I might check them out.

i am too. think this album deserves it.

I'm about half way through the album now. I don't know if it is 9.0 material, but it is better than expected. I still have high enough expectation for album reaching this much acclaim that it might not reach it, and I tend to slag albums in that category.
Her vocals, the harmonization in the back ground and use of various keyboards are clearly the draw to this album for me. None of the guitar part really overwhelm the songs and everything seems to come together pretty nicely.
Overall, I get a more up-tempo Mazzy Star vibe from it with classic pop influences blending with hints of 80's dream pop.

I've listened to this and Devotion a lot lately. Don't seem to get tired of them. They'd be towards the top in a list of albums I like from the last five years or so.

i've only heard a few songs but i don't think i'm into this.

Digging this album like no other right now. Rads is just pissed that it's taking attention away from Spoon.

Got the album package, and the inclusion of a DVD featuring videos for each track is very cool. A nice alternate way of enjoying the album.
