I know a lot of people think this album lives and dies with The Rat, but I listened to it on my trip to El Paso, and I still really like the whole damn thing.

It was 2004. I think it was my #2 album that year behind Misery is a Butterfly. Come to think of it, that was one of the best years for music, IMO.

As an album, I prefer Everyone Who Pretended ... , but that's not to say I dislike Bows & Arrows.

I think the first two albums and the last one were all great. Well, maybe the last one wasn't great, but it was a big step up from the covers album and the 100 miles one.

I like the idea of them on Fat Possum, though it seems weird.
