Sound quality isn't as terrible as you made out dude. But yeah drums are way too quiet.

I dig the first song and i'm downloading the others now.

'She's A Ghost' - Started off acoustic country sounding, and I was gonna say 'nah not really my thing', but then the tempo quickens and the song rocks a lot harder. The shambolic end part is great.

yeah that's what i like about that one. although i don't see why you think it's 'country sounding', i love how it goes all apeshit at the end and you can't tell what's going on.

'Big Disappointment' - The most catchy, hooky song on here and the best 'single'.

'Old Haunts' - The best song on here by a mile. It's great, even if it wasn't touched by the mixing guy. The long instrumental passage is stellar. Don't edit it down or anything will you.

awesome. i love that you like old haunts. that's a new song that we recorded live. but i love the way that it turned out and how the guitars work w/ each other.

Yeah the guitars actually sound pretty good for a live recording. I mean once again drums would be great if higher but that song sounds pretty good already. The song would be weakened by overproduction, and should be left alone as much as possible.

yeah i'm a big supporter of nice loud drums, but we'll see how it fits in the mix once we get to the next stage. old haunts is one of my faves of the album. and i think it sounds damn good for not being touched by the studio guy.

yeah, just kept it w/ keys. figure it adds a bit of dynamic if the backing vocals come in later

She's A Ghost is amazing. seriously, GREAT tune.

loving the guitars on Old Haunts as well. love the slow progression.

i'm actually a fan of the way this is produced. kinda has a rough edge which i like [ala british sea power, etc].

awesome. thanks dalen. i'm interested on how people will take to she's a ghost, mainly because of the ending.

we recorded all this ourselves. but a studio is mixing/mastering.

even more impressed man. but don't let that studio overproduce, 'cause you guys have it down IMO.

my favorite thing about She's A Ghost is that it builds and builds into chaos, then ends with vocal harmonies. right the fuck on.

thanks a lot for posting these. a welcome surprise this morning. onto the ipod they go.

yeah, the guy that's manning the mixing is steve from The M's. he's a friend of ours and also does sound at schubas here in the city, so he knows what we want and we trust him.

thanks again. i may post more once mixes of other songs come back. or better mixes of these current ones
