Drinky - Beach House - Ten Mile Stereo : i like their sound. IIRC though they vox sounded sweeter on previous albums. i wish they wrote better songs, though. 5/10

billy - Serge Gainsbour - Vu De L'Exterieur : i dig this in small amounts. yes, even smaller than 3.5 minute song doses. still, it has it's place. 5/10

rparis - Surfer Blood - Floating Vibes : Yes! love this album. annoyed that i put it on my '09 top list. i should tell everyone that i just found out about them, then i won't have to act like an indie hipster music snob. anyway, i'm going with 9/10

shiv - AA Bondy - False River : Don't see what the big deal is about this guy. That being said, this is passable. 5/10

dalen - Nest - Kyoto : "Their extraordinary atmospheric sound is based on Kantele, ancient & traditional Finnish plucked string instrument of the zither family. …" How does that sound to you? 3/10? ok.

timmy - We Were Promised Jet Packs - Ships With Holes Will Sink : Love the guitar sound on this. I'm calling this Scottish grit-rock. good pull. 7/10

f4df - Spirit - Gramophone Man : I always saw these guys on those comps you can buy on tv but i forgot what their song was. this is actually pretty zany. beatles-esque rock/pop and then swing/lounge core and then a mini drum solo and then back to beatles. i may need to steal this for an "Oddities But Goodies" bort comp. 8/10

two guns - hot chip - take it in : i wish they'd take their electro rock juuuust a bit farther in one direction or the other. sounds like they are trying to walk the line between creative and accessible at the same time. this one comes preeetty close to succeeding, really like the chorus. 6/10
