the song is growing on me on repeat, it the first single so you can compare it to "Daft Punk is Playing at My House" and "North American Scum." this is on par with the last single.

so excited we have new LCD Soundsystem!

It's in the twentyten, listening now. so far "One Touch" and "I Can Change" have been fantastic.

Oh cool. I'm not really a fan but I knew a few here are. I did a quick search but nothing obvious jumped out.

good lookin' out DJ.

"You Wanted A Hit" is sounding nice right now. gradual build, and love when the guitar comes in.

Ok. This is great. Really good, in fact. But that's not what I want to talk about here.
What the fuck is up with "Pow pow"? Song blows! It's almost a joke. terrible! What is he thinking putting that shit on this album!?

that aside, great album.

Does anyone else hear a guitar sample of Bowie's "Heroes" in the song "All I Want"?

okay, the retro synths on "I Can Change" sounds a lot like The Eurythmics song "Love Is A Stranger"

from this album

I like it though

last observation

The chorus of the final song "Home" sounds strongly like Talking Heads. Nice.

I like how this album's infuences is all over the place. It's danceable too, but not really a pure "dance album" that I expected.

before this past weekend, i'd heard these songs more live than recorded. there are certainly some standouts ("one touch", "i can change"), but what's bad is really bad ("drunk girls", "somebody's calling me").

Have to disagree with you about "Somebody's Calling Me". One of my faves on the album. Have a few cocktails, make yourself comfy on your back porch and cue it up.
