I put most of the blame on Boudreau and his less than conspicuous arrogance. He thinks he doesn't need to change his game plan in the playoffs. Newsflash, most teams take the time to increase their dedication to solid defensive play while maintaining a strong connection to their offensive game. Instead WSHs D (both from D men and Forwards) prance around the offensive zone with flashy moves, half of which get broken up by dedicated defensive corps, and the other half of which miss high or wide.

Knuble is the only one on that team that gets it, IMO. Maybe Laich (but they're similar players anyway, again IMO).

Because I am rooting for Boston, I now hope that MTL wins game 7 so I can at least see the B's in the ECF (they at least have a better chance against PHI than PIT).

WSH is choking hard, just like they do every playoffs in the past 3 years because they're too arrogant to not over-fancy up their game. That's why Varly gets left with a 2 goal deficit 5 minutes into a game 6. Despicable.

You mean the team that has Norris Trophy Finalist Mike Green on their roster doesn't play tight defense

I love it. That whole team is so arrogant they think President trophy = Stanley Cup..Now it shows they were a good team in a very weak division..I hope MTL can pull it out in game 7.

As a Caps fan, I'm still pretty confident on Wednesday night's outcome, but dang they need to tighten up. Also, Semin needs to start showing up.

Jesus, 4 for 8. Turns out that the West followed the script, while the East was mostly about the upset.

Next round:

San Jose vs. Detroit ---> Detroit
Crying Goalie vs. the Fratellis ----> Crying Goalie

Pittsburgh vs. Montreal ---> Pittsburgh
Boston vs. Philly ---> Philly

The only one of those I feel is almost a guarantee is Pittsburgh over Montreal. The rest might need a game 7.
