They put on a hell of a show too. Highly recommended.

Yeah, I agree. I saw them a couple weeks ago here in Chicago. Best show I've seen this year so far.

stretching this out to include jan-mar 2005, i'm giving serious consideration to ousting "i'm wide awake, it's morning" by bright eyes with "picaresque" by the decemberists

my vote is for bloc party, but 13+god will take that spot once it gets released.

i also dug the decemberists, iron&wine ep, stars, beanie sigel, thunderbirds are now, matt sweeney & bonnie 'prince' billy

i put this up on the prefix msg. board and got like 3 responses. i'm jealous.

Yeah wasn't everyone comparing the cover to that EITS cover last year.

Or i could be just half-remembering, they don't really seem like my cup of tea.

It was probably like that Broken Social Scene album with the 2002 and 2003 release date.

I don't really care. I think it's just above mediocre.

i'm unsure of whether to count this in my list or not. if i do, it will surely be top 5-10...but it will take up a spot for a "new" album. shouldn't there be another list for "live and/or compilations" or something?

oh, the indecision....
