Just bought the re-issues of Look Sharp, I'm The Man, & Jumpin Jive

I have Beat Crazy and Night & Day on my to buy list...

what else do i need from his catalog in the same vein? I know he started to switch up his sound a bit as he went on.....Any other essentials or will these 5 suffice?

I love "Jumpin' Jive." I think I even had it on my listmania the first time we did that.

I only own the ones you just bought. I had a bunch of others back in the day on 8 track, album or cassette but never replaced on CD. I really hate "Night and Day" and I stopped paying attention around "Big World."

"Beat Crazy" is pretty good but I didn't personally consider it essential to own anymore. I remember liking "Mike's Murder" but I'm guessing that would be hard to find. "Body and Soul" wasn't bad but I don't really like it enough to recommend it. The rest I haven't heard or would consider completely unessential.

"Laughter And Lust" is surprisingly good.

'Summer In The City' is a decent live disc, but other than that I think you've got him covered.

Agreed. Not essential, but still enjoyable. And the last release of his that I ever listened to.

Sh*t....With such an extensive catalog, and me listening & re-listening to these non stop, I hate the idea of not having more and more to dig into....I may have to take chances with the res of his catalog...major JJ kick right now...
