I love it. I am definitely enjoying it more than I thought I would. Maybe that's why. Low expectations + passable album = greater enjoyment.

i still haven't heard it properly, but i did go to one of the shows where they played it in full. there seemed to be a few standouts.

Stars are one of those bands that I think, while I am listening to them, "hey this is really good", but when put it on the shelf I never think of or want to put it back on and have a sorta sucrose-avoidance reaction, but then if I put them on again I think, "oh they aren't bad..." Irrational I suppose. I'll listen to this, thanks for the link.

I get this. Undertow of their earlier Sad Robots ep was one of their "rise above" moments.
