There was a footrace at the end of last night's 2 hours between the brothers (who had just flipped their jeep an hour or two earlier) and Ray and Deana to decide who got eliminated.

Plus Meredith and Gretchen are awesome - an older couple for those who don't watch that are badass. Gretchen got a hole in her head last night, and kept trucking.

And then there are always Lynn and Alex for the unintentional comedy:
- "This is like...Compton." - Lynn and Alex in Johannesburg (I think) after they got lost trying to get to the airport
- "Oh good, Tupac." - Lynn and Alex trying to find someone to take them to the airport
- "Go get it, pirate." - Lynn and Alex to Meredith and Gretchen as they grind the corn in a challenge
- "Survive that." - Lynn and Alex prematurely celebrating Rob and Amber missing a plane in an earlier episode

Yeah, I had missed a few episodes and wasn't planning on jumping back in, but I caught it last night and those old geezers lured me back in. I can't believe they moved UP from dead last to 5th place on an entire leg with no money or supplies! Plus, I loves me some Boston Rob and Ambuh.

Best episode of the season so far. The foot race at the end was phenomenal.

I can't help but love Meredith and Gretchen. Lynn and Alex crack me up. Rob and Amber make me wanna vomit.

Even a crabby old bastard like me likes this show. I love seeing the places they go, and the challenges are interesting and cool. I didn't see Rob and Amber on Survivor, but my wife told me he was a much bigger ass on that show, not stopping to help was cold, but it didn't make me hate him nearly as much as the dude who was yelling at his wife and ultimately lost, or the horrbile comments about the Joahnnesburg ghetto. I was like- dude, people don't decide to be here on purpose.

The orphanage scene was moving especially with the couple who indicated they were considering adoption.

Except for, with an attitude and general shmuckishnish, and can see why Mr. Apache pilot got his ass shot down and ended up a POW. Unlike any pilot I've ever met...this dude whould be finishing these things right around the time the rest of the teams take their third step off the starting gate. Great promo for the Army, huh?

And RR/RW Challenge just beats this show all to shit, as far a true crap programming goes.

They talk mad shit and plot and connive on Amazing Race.

I kinda feel like RW/RR is a poor imitation of itself. I mean, its basically a vehicle for The Miz to try different hairstyles and try to be fashion forward. I will still watch it every once in a while, though.

At some point, too, you know that MTV is going to do a very special episode or season of the RW/RR Challenge where Irene from Season VII: Seattle re-appears.

Sparks will fly, dOOdz, and I will be rubbing one -- hell, several -- off the whole time.

She crazy... And I like 'em crazy. I'm a narcissist, y'know?

Oh, the RR/RW Challenge IS a parody of itself, and that is so sad that it makes the show BETTER. These people are complete losers, who aren't even z-list celebrities, so they have to keep milking this for all its worth. I mean, they have Beth from Season 2 -- she's gotta be in her mid thirties by now. So, so sad.

I like the Amazing Race, it's just that some of it, to me, seems even more contrived that RR/RW Challenge, which at least doesn't take itself so seriously.
