I just went to google images and typed in pour some sugar on me...and lo and behold, there it was. A perfect accompaniment to an obner post. Some times its just too easy, ya know. Plus, I knew I had to work fast...my only hope, that Bob was asleep.

toots will post his update soon, but last nights burger was definitely the top of the list for me, right next to the miss daisy. it was tart and tangy, with the perfect amount of smoothness from the blue cheese. again, enough meat for two mouths, but it stuffed into my one mouth just fine!

This one threw a few curveballs my direction. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the pickled onions, and more than pleased with the balsamic mayo, all of which were made in the Toots kitchen. These condiments, along with the blue cheese, gave this mealwich a zesty tang that I found compelling and rather singular.



Hmmmmm, yes.


Now on with the shew:

Our warm-up brew for the evening was a shared bottle of St. Peters...


...which was then followed by a smattering of Gonzo porters. RIP H.S.T.


Beef was prepared as always: organic, mixed with bread crumbs, sea salt, ground pepper, diced onions and garlic, and an egg. I've never shown a picture of our cooking meat I don't think, so here it is. Two big patties for the Big Tootses, one small one for my mini-toots. Shera's mini-toots apparently doesn't eat food.

Balsamic fucking mayo. This is the new ranch. (mix 1/2 cup mayo with 1 1/2 tbsp of balsamic vinegar, pinch of cayenne pepper. makes enough to rightfully slather two sandwiches.)


Gotta have Ciabatta.


The Big Ben, with a side of okra. Blue cheese makes an appearance on the right, just north of the bacon. Too much more of its pungent kick and I might've lost a tooth.

i was talking about the cheese and burger site w/ a girl at work the other day and came to one that had bacon on it and she said that she 'doesnt mix meat.' ol girl never had a bacon cheeseburger. the fuck.

i didnt have a chance to make one of these this week yet, so i'm doing it tonight. or at least, thats the plan.

Oh, I've known people who wouldn't eat "hot fruit" or "loose meat". Its a crazy world out there.
