lumberjack is up next

this one's got two patties, three slices of bread and a rather traditional selection of toppings. word on the street is that we're gonna make one and split it. possibly siding it with lipitor

toots said it last night, but it took me a while to figure it out. the combo of sweet pickles and mayo on this burger gave it the flavor of a Big Mac. i've only had a taste of one of these about once in my life, but i remember the "special sauce". we ended up each having an entire burger to ourselves, so no sides last night, but who needs sides when you have a burger that's as tall as Texas id republican? this one was good. still not Miss Daisy good, but good. i'm beginning to feel like my heart wants out of my body after each cheeseburger, but until she stops beating, i'm going to finish the next 20 burgers.

i know some of our burgers haven't looked so pretty, but the blue collar thing you've got going on there looks just plain gross. i hope it tasted better than it appears. meanwhile, i think i've finally clogged every major artery in my body with grease and cheese. ugh

sorry for once again falling behind. spooky season's got me by the ballz...

<press play>

A very straightforward, straightlaced burger here. Ketchup, mayo, mustard, iceberg lettuce, yellow cheese, white cheese, sliced white onions and lots of other things white people like, along with smart cars, old-timey names for newborns and joining Kiwanis International. If it were an ice cream flavor, it'd be praline and dick.

The beer we chose was Founder's "Dirty Bastard," our second choice since Barley Island's "Homeless AIDS Rapist" was out. Sorry for the bad pic, the palsy was acting up.

THE LUMBERJACK ...and it's ok

You can tell the age of a burger by counting its rings.

Commentary
Shera made the burgers the right size - important because of the double-patty config and our penchant for making bloated beef. Our white bread was another triumph, in that we were able to find a more-or-less artisan version of what is typically a horribly processed EBT staple. It was hard to not make a Big Mac comparison because of the sweetness of the pickles mixing with the ketcheep and playing against the umami of the beef, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm no stranger to slummin' it at the golden arches. 8-)

Score: ImageImageImage

Three Muncie-area golden-age-of-roadside-attractions oddities. The LJ didn't bend our minds into uncharted gastronomic realms, but it was assuredly a spot-hittin', colon ravagin', you-had-to-be-there decent way to spend an evening.

not looking forward to this but ima man-up and choke it down. i HATE HATE HATE spicy food. when i go to a thai joint, i just tell the waiter pussy instead of referring to a numerical measure of desired hotness of my food.

not real big on pepperoncini either.

INGREDIENTS: havarti, provolone, beef, capicola spiced ham, jalapenos, pepperoncini, ketchup, mayo, dill, italian roll.

my duodenums already puckering. the duodenums in yr butt right?

i've just never liked experiencing pain with my enjoyment of victuals. as i get older, i am more apt to opt for moderate spiciness, like certain low intensity indian foods. that whole hot pepper flavor makes me vomitous also.

i love spicy food and have tons of tattoos. toots is just a freak. all the cool kids loooove some spicy food.

meanwhile, i'm reconsidering the whole cheeseburger tuesday thing. my poor guts can't handle much more cheese and gluten before they come crawling out my rear with the rest of the cheeseburger push. i'm considering new ways to vary the ol' burger thing. toots can continue eating the rill dill, and i'll reconfigure mine into the sensitive insides version. lame, i know, but this girl is getting funky.

Why not go to once a month - give you something to look forward to as opposed to a chore....sorta like these album listening threads. Sometimes one day is enough, some times you can't stomach some random 80s era release from an artist who you only enjoy half their stuff...
