Please. Take out "Radio Song" and "Shiny Happy People" and this album is great.

"Losing My Religion" had its day, but I would rather ram a meat thermometer into my ear than ever have to hear it again.

"Near Wild Heaven," "Belong," "Texarkana" and "Country Feedback" are pretty good, but this album's definitely toward the bottom of their canon.

And "Losing My Religion" to that and you are 100% right: GREAT fucking album.

Still remember the night this premiered. So fucking powerful and it was like "Whoa, wtf have these guys been doing?"

I've never really tired of Losing My Religion and still enjoy it if I hear it.

Still the best, most perfectly-suited-to-the-material video I've ever seen.

It's hard for me to believe the reaction to this turd. I mean, Green was a huge disappointment when it came out, but Out of Time came out and made Green look like fucking Revolver in comparison. Half the stuff on here they just try too hard to be cute, and most of the rest is phoned in. I think "Losing My Religion" is decent, but it wouldn't even be in my favorite top 50 R.E.M. songs.

"Texarcana", "Half a World Away", and a few other songs are pretty great.
As to "Loosing My Religion": it's a great song that I have just heard waaayyyy too much and never really need to hear again.

I love "Texarcana". It's a great nighttime, headphone song.

Then you would probably enjoy "We Both Go Down Together" by The Decemberists.

These three songs plus Country Feedback make the album worth owning. I've never cared much for any of the other songs, though.
