I'm totally facking loving this thing. I always felt that evil ol' Big Business Inc. ripped off the world by denying us that one Springsteen album based in the joy of his success (in other words, the follow-up to Born to Run), and instead that entire period was deleted by court battles and Springsteen subsequently skipped straight to the rueful skepticism of Darkness. But shit, here we are and here it is. I crammed it onto a single disc, omitted a couple of the turgid ballads, and the fucker glows in the dark.

What track list have yee created?

I'm awaiting the 3LP, yes they released the entire thing.
Saw the packaging at a friend's last night, and it looked sweet.

Yeah, it's really something, isn't it?

I can't get enough of that version of "Racing In The Streets". The bass alone will collapse you chest cavity.

To your point, I think some of those feel good numbers got pushed on to The River as well ("Sherry Darlin", "Out In The Street" etc) but there was a lot of dark shit on there too. Weird fucking career arc for sure.

oh well i didn't understand what you were looking for then. the entire promise fits on 3LPs, but I don't think they released a remastered vinyl of the original album. would be nice.

yeah they make a 2LP version of it too...I wonder if the original is really included there. Why would they need 3LPs?

I just got the boxset for $30. Incredible. Borders sent me a 50% coupon on one item, so I went to my local, in-town Borders but they were sold out. So, I asked if they could see if the town 20 minutes away had it. They did, so they put it on hold. Before leaving I asked "Is this boxset applicable with this coupon?" "Sure is." My wife and I decide to make an evening of it, so we drive to the other Borders. I stand in an obscene line, and finally get to the register. They get the boxset, ring it up and I hand them my coupon. Apparently, it was on sale for $89.99, so the coupon wasn't applicable. I say that I wouldn't have driven 20 miles, and also that the clerk back at the other store told me it was applicable. I'm pretty sure my argument had nothing to do with them going ahead and giving me the 50% off, but rather the 30+ people behind me. Then, my wife had a $25 gift certificate.

Looking forward to this to say the least.
