I'm not placing blame on anyone so I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish with your post. There are times for fun and games and there are times for people to be a bit more sympathetic and try to fix something that may be broken. People are not finding this forum as enticing as they used to, and I'm just wondering why? You're sarcasm isn't appreciated.

Maybe not appreciated by you. But hopefully appreciated by someone else.

Because I'm an old guy who's first (and almost all-consuming) responsibility is to his wife and children. So I'm here to HEAR about the new stuff, not be a bell-ringer.

I really could give two shits if I've ever provided anyone with anything useful. Is it entertaining to post here; that's the only criteria I care about finding worthwhile. And I'd much rather find out about music by gabbing with people and cracking jokes, while sharing likes and dislikes, then through six billion "here's the next great artist" bullshit threads.

the move from cmj to obner probably hurt both boards longterm more than anyone is willing to admit at this point...we lost a lot of people in the transition and a lot of good music-related content

speaking for the handful I am in touch with, there are just other boards that have a lot better regular music content, and many people have sought those boards out as a replacement for this one and CMJ

The one person I've totally killed in the last few months answered my question like an adult and the ones I've been nice to were total jerks. Shows how wrong I was...

I think it was hard to recover from the election. I joined CMJ last August I think, and it a ton of political threads for-ever.

Say what you will, though; I've learned more about new music from this board and am more excited to do so in anytime I can remember in at least ten years. And I totally appreciate you guys for that. Sniff.
