so.....go Jets?

The Steelers were playing a pretty piss poor game until the half this week.
This season is great. Anyone at anytime can get their balls handed to them if they decide to take a couple plays off.

But I would want the Jets to win over the Steelers 'cause they're not as crisp and solid as the Steelers.

The hype for this Packer/Bear game around here is going to be ridiculous.

thisotherkingdom and paper,

real talk

I think what is going to get The Bears into the Superbowl is the home field advantage. The Pack are no doubt an excellent team but are going to struggle at Soldier Field in (hopefully) frigid temperatures, a slippery ice-cold field, snow, and gale force winds off the lake.

Rodgers has struggled offensively against the Bears D in both games

I'll place my bets on the opposite of what he thinks.
Not a good year for him.

you better hope for the weather and atmosphere (piss poor field conditions) to help you out, 'cause your team isn't a match.

JETS came up big today, but they won partly because Brady was so terrible.

I'd rather face the Jets in the superbowl than the patriots or the steelers... so GO JETS!

I'll give the jets a bit more credit for forcing him into desperate lanes and bad decisions.

Why do people think that the packers would be ill prepared to play in the elements at soldier field? They play 8 games a year at lambeau for Christ's sake.

The Jets and their fat loudmouth coach usually annoy the shit out of me, but they backed it the fuck up today. Great win.

They may have a hard time scoring next week, but at this point, who the fuck knows? I'll take the Steelers.

What?
Problematic for the Packers to deal with the elements?...Not so much.

The piss poor field conditions of Soldier Field are the biggest concern and the indirect translation.
Ironically, minus the Vikings' vs. Bears Monday Night fiasco at TCF Field in MPLS, I think it's understood that Soldier Field is the worst in the NFL.

F.I.Bs.

Oh FIBs==Fucking Illinois Bastards
you actually pronounce it as such; and the majority of Wisconsin folk know who you're referencing:

a bunch of white Illinois-native assholes living on loans and driving too fast to their refinanced cottages "up North".

Jerkass, someone has to finance and fuel the money pit for that backwoods yokel excuse of a "state." you should feel lucky that we use your waterparks and bed and breakfasts, otherwise you'd just be another north dakota trying to catch up with the rest of the civilized world

All I'm saying is that you can't underestimate the home field advantage, it is such a game changer when most of the fans are on your side.

I know The Packers are used to playing outside but if weather conditions are really cold and windy then teams usually have to rely on the running game and I think Chicago has an advantage in this department.

Granted, the Patriots beat the shit out of Bears outside in Chicago in terrible weather but that was an anomaly and not the norm.

Also, I read some statistic today that the Bears are 10-0 when they rush over 21 times per game. Commitment to the run is going to be key. Ever since Martz realized this, the Bears have been doing much better on a more balanced offense. The Packers run defense is ranked 18th and rushing offense 24th right now according to nfl.com statistics. And yes, I know that the Pack has been getting better with their running game lately. Bears rush defense is ranked 2nd right now, rushing offense 22nd. The difference in the running game is that the Bears have Matt Forte who can run, block, AND catch. He is the first Bear since Walter Payton to have over 1,000 rushing yards + 500 receiving in a season. Pretty impressive. Oh, and our O-line is doing much better now.

Apparently you've forgotten about the southern part of Illinois with its shithole impoverished towns selling Confederate merchandise. And the fact that your government is an inefficient, ineffective bungle of wasted taxpayer money. You also can compete with Iowa for the most boring landscape.

Yes, Illinois definitely has the edge on WI.

Well, Rodgers once again is out to prove people wrong (and doing so very successfully right now). I think he's still pissed about not making the All-Pro team.

Packers/Bears: Rodgers struggles against their good D, but I just have a feeling that Tramon Williams & Charles Woodson may just bait Cutler into some stupid throws. It's about time for Jay to resort back to his norm of throwing 2-3 picks per game. Should be a real close game, but I've got to go with the Packers (less than 11 months in Wisconsin, I'm already a "homer"... I'm pathetic... )

Jets/Steelers: I keep going back and forth on this one. I just think Big Ben will find a way to win even though they'll struggle the entire game to find a groove. I'll take the Steelers.

Now watch as it will end up being a Bears/Jets Super Bowl... :?

Homefield advantage didn't mean much to Atlanta or New England...just sayin. Although, If we were at lambeau I'd feel a lot better, that's for sure.

I'll take that bet, but you know they made it to the Super Bowl with that joke of a QB Rex Grossman.
