is bon jovi better than kings of leon at this point?

I'd probably rather see Bon Jovi. There's some terrible stuff as Jazzfest - Kid Rock, leads the way. But it's a really diverse line-up that has something for everyone. You can see Sonny Rollins, Willie Nelson, The Arcade Fire, and Jimmy Buffett. Not to mention Lucinda Williams, The Neville Brothers, and The Radiators. And Trombone Shorty.

All of the "headliners" from Coachella will be at Jazzfest save KOL. Instead of 100 indie bands that will fade back into obscurity after Coachella, you can see great bands in almost any genre at Jazzfest.

I completely agree and came here to post the same. Jesse Winchester is playing jazzfest this year too.

I didn't even see Jesse Winchester in there. Makes it even better.

Look at the people with shitty taste in here. I think there's probably less than 10 bands on that list that I'd walk down the street to see if where they were playing didn't charge a cover and had an open bar.

And London Suede are so terrible that as a rule if you like them I don't trust anything you have to say about anything.*

I dunno, if I could swing the trip, I'd be all about seeing Kanye and The Strokes.

And at Jazzfest, Lucinda and The Radiators

If the cost was the same, I'd pick Coachella, but let's be realistic here, the chances of me traveling for a music festival are slim and none and slim just left town.

But you can see the Strokes at Jazzfest. Can you swing a business meeting in NOLA during that coincides with Jazzfest?

Look at Mr. Defensive. Jesus dude, could you be any fucking lamer? Go to Coachella, see the bands you like, have a great time. But don't pretend it's something that it's not.

Dern. I hadn't looked at the lineup. Again, though, a music festival sounds crowded and annoying.

i don't really give a shit about either of the festivals being posted about here, but i just came in to say that Mellencamp's album from last year was pretty fantastic.

Here in Bama, they are only allowed by Christian Brothers and Sisters.

I'm at about 80% in for the 2nd weekend of Jazzfest.

I think you should strongly consider this.

I know my friends are talking about the 2nd weekend this year. I hope to be able to make it that weekend too.
