It was almost funny.

I thought the caption "1 Thom 1 Grandma" was pretty funny but the clip didn't deliver.

I thought it was pretty damn funny, but if Dalen, Shiv, Drinky, and Kingfish didn't like it, well, guess I'll just have to cede the point to those sages of humor.

This has to be a first. Don't think I've ever been lumped in a group with Dalen, Shiv, and Drinky before.

Well, since we are talking about the Lotus Flower video. I like it--it reminds me of Micheal Stipe.

gotta give it to Thom, he knows how to make a video go viral, which will no doubt lead to sales.

finally listened to the new album this evening, the curiosity got the best of me

first impression: it's not terrible, but surely it is not the best thing they've ever done. Some of it sounds deliberately loose, lazy, and meandering. This band is kind of schizophrenic and one-half is like, one-step away from entering jazz territory now but maybe they've always had an element of that in them.

I find myself drawn towards "Little By Little" after the first spin, so catchy and delicate sounding. Also, "Codex" is nice. Perfect come down music.

update: "Separator" and "Lotus Flower" are good too, the rest is off-kilter filler material. Dalen is right, it gets better the more you listen to this.

After having put a couple more listens in, I'm going to give it a rest for now until I get a (modest/standard) physical copy. It's at least worth that which isn't surprising.

I like it, and the only song I don't really like much is, interestingly, "Lotus Flower". I disagree that the latter half of the album is better than the first half, although that was my initial reaction. "Little by Little" and "Codex" are early favorites, and the two opening tracks are really strong as well. As are the two closing tracks. The whole thing is good. Good... not great.

i have put in a few more listens too, and i like the album more than ever now. feral is the weakest track by far, to me, but overall, the whole thing has grown on me with more familiarity. the album doesn't resonate like in rainbows did, but it's a different animal and a good one at that. i'm selfishly kind of hoping there is more music coming with the physical release.

I think the reviewer for Pitchfork got it about right.

The songs are great but they do seem like previously explored material. The album reminds me more of The Eraser than any Radiohead album though.
