I did, here:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47171&start=50

In short, it's half of the band Laddio Bolocko, playing a similar sort of intense, mathy post-rock. Very Krautrock. I'd say they're sort of like Oneida but better. Or I like them more right now, anyway.

I believe this is the one I used:

Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/?rquxsl96kzn381p

Frustratingly enough, I actually bought this on vinyl and it came with a download card, but when I downloaded the album, it was at 128kbps! Cheap bastards.

(That link above is at 320 kbps.)

I guess I could also say it's this year's Rangda, but I think I like it more than that.

I think I've heard enough to do a top 15. Again, flaky, could all change.

Obsessed with that Peaking Lights record, would like recs for anything similar (doesn't have to be new).

2 - UV Race - Homo (LP)
3 - Ernest Dawkins New Horizons Ensemble - The Prairie Project
4 - Peaking Lights - 936
5 - Folded Shirt - S/t
6 - Psychic Paramount - II
7 - Great Society Mind Destroyers - Spirit Smoke
8 - Moon Duo - Mazes
9 - Dan Melchior - Assemblage Blues
10 - Lumerians - Transmalinnia
11 - Earth - Angels Of Darkness, PT1
12 - Homostupids - Strawberry Orange Peach Banana
13 - Pheromoans - It Still Rankles
14 - Der Tpk - German Reggae
15 - The Dirtbombs - Party Store

Comps/other

Duchess Of Saigon - S/t

Sun City Girls - Gum Arabic
Tyvek - Third Man Live

add 5 at the end of each quarter?

so, top 5 for q1, top 10 for q2, top 15 for q3, and top 20 for year-end?

Vocalist/songwriter from the Broken West, and maybe even a little better than his old band.

This album was pretty good, in a slack '93 Pavement sorta way.

Also, I forgot all about that Fleshtones album - it's a keeper.

Yes! Exactly. Just an informal list of your top 5 for the first 3 months of the year. Always interesting to see if your initial top selects can retain their standing throughout the year.

All I need is one person to comply and I'll start the thread.
