Yeah, they have to find a new AD, after they fired the one who helped them cheat to reach mid major FBS status. I don't really need to mention that god awful blue turf, but that's a major problem too.

I'm confused. What problems do they really have? Blue Turf? Give me a break.

I've got no problem with using a gimmick to get your foot in the door, and don't necessarily buy into the criticism that the blue turf and blue uniforms gives the Boise State offense an unfair advantage over opposing defenses at home. I'm just a traditionalist when it comes to fields being green and staying with a classic uniform look.

The blue uniform on the turf thing is a joke. Someone did some analysis and it showed that their offense actually performed better on the road in the first half of games, pretty much debunking the common belief that they opposing defenses had trouble locating players early on in games.

Do Hawaii, Baylor, Oregon, etc have an unfair advantage if they wear green on grass fields?

Obviously if you have a rich tradition like Nebraska, WI, etc i can understand that but why would you care for an upstart program with no significant history beyond 10 years?

Apologies to LSU folk. This was just too well done not to post.

We lost by four points and we missed a field goal and an extra point. Outgained Houston 540 yards to 470. It's a shame that as a UCLA footbal fan I am used to losing but this team looks better than last year. Good news bad news. Good news: we look a lot better and will prolly win 6 games. Bad news: we'll win 6 games and Neuheisel will be back next year.

Georgia flashed a lot of talent but couldn't put it together. Glad BSU came out with a victory. Could have easily been a different outcome.

Hopefully BSU doesn't get blown off like last year.

We got mauled in the trenches and beat by a better QB and a better team. End of story.

Bring on the damn ol' Gamecocks.

I finally realized why so many people in Alabama like Teh SAWKS - Yawkey was the last guy to integrate.

As for the GA team, Matt I'd like you to point out some of this "talent" you saw. Because I saw a shitty team get fucking got.

If you take away that 80 something yard sweep to Boykin, I don't think we gained 100 yards.

We actually put up decent numbers and the discrepancy in yards wasn't that much (390-373). The two numbers that jump out are the penalties (no shock) and the performance of Moore, who put on a man-versus-boys clinic out there.

I didn't watch much of the 2nd Half, but Loogars take is basically my take on what I saw in the 2nd quarter. I wouldn't call UGA a "shitty" team, but that offense clearly wasn't ready to play in a game against any top five opponent. I hope the Dawgs beat up on South Carolina, since the Gamecock Defense looked incredibly weak against ECU.

I went to the Husker game yesterday. It wasn't bad, despite a little rain during the 2nd quarter. I think the offense line still needs a ton of work, but that the Defense played pretty good for running a base defense with limited wrinkles against a decent FCS level passing offense. I would have liked a shutout, but I'll take only giving up seven after the Husker special teams made a few glaring mistakes.

I'm not sure the rest of the Huskers non-conference slate will adequately prepare them for that road game in Madison, but I'm still counting on Fresno State and Washington to give them some difficulty.

Based on their performance yesterday I don't expect UW to give the Huskers any trouble at all.

They were outplayed by and fortunate to beat FCS Eastern Washington. Granted, they're the defending FCS champions and current #1 in the FCS, but c'mon. Ugly.

Yeah - I checked out the stats in the ajc. I was actually shocked by the yards thing, but the fact that we only had 13 first downs, and ran ZERO plays in The Red Zone speaks to the larger issue.

I had a baaaddd feeling about the game, deja vu from Bama 3 years ago, on the second drive - a screen and two shotgun draws. And then when BSU scored and got the ball in the second half I knew we were up shit creek.

We left at the 12 minute mark in the 4th. I couldn't stand it anymore. And Jesus creeping shit Christ I'm hungover.

Yeah, turns out we were both right: you said it was over when BSU scored before the half; I said it would be over if they scored on that first drive of the second when Moore went Peyton/JoMo on us.

Other than that missed block that led to the INT and the trip on his first carry, Crowell looked good: averaged 4YPG against a defense that was loading up against the run. The pass protection stunk. on. ice. The defense played well despite being on the field too much and sustaining some bad injuries. Things could be worse.

Derris won the the post game analysis with his text: NICE UNIFORMS

So, does the Oregon beatdown allow us to jump Bama in the polls?

It should. I caught maybe a quarter of the game and y'all looked pretty good.
