So I listened to this album by G-Eazy. It's so hard to tell these days (cause I'm not hip enough) what exactly is an actual album and what is a "mixtape."

But anyway, the album is called the Outsider, and I would rate it above average on first listen. It might even grow on me. But what drew me in initially are the samples used. On the album there are snippets/loops/riffs from Vivian Girls, the Cults, and a few others. Kinda cool.

Also, currently can't get enough of Chiddy Bang. It came out last year, but I've yet to tire of "Opposite of Adult." his release samples MGMT and Sufjan Stevens among others.

Hell, Kanye West collaborated with Bon Iver on Dark Twisted Fantasy. Seems like that would be about as unlikely a collab as there would be, but there you have it.
