Being that I stomp around in the dark troves of the internet I've come into contact with this subculture before. There is a faction of the adult babies who fetishize the experience--for them they get a charge out of not having control and is there anything in less control than a baby? Then there are those who go after the lifestyle for non-sexual reasons--the no-control thing is again a big issue, but rather than getting a charge out of it, it is a form of escapism.

At least, just from what I've read. If an AB read this they'd probably say it is an extreme simplification... but eh, it's a messy issue.
