I've been using this
Visitrax program to catalog all my cd's. The main benefits are that all I have to do is input the disc and it searches the freedb database and then I add that data to my library which is then available offline. I can back all this up into 1 single file.
The downside is that this is a Windows only program and it won't work on my Ubuntu machine at home and I can't review it remotely from my Droid. The only work around is that I can export data to an excel sheet, which is a pain in the butt, and it doesn't export it to a format that is easy to use or edit. I'd have to export it once, modify the spreadsheet so I can work with it, but then adding data from here out would be manually.
Does anyone use or know of a site/ app where you can upload catalog data and then access it remotely? I've tried some of the Android Apps and they seem pretty cool where you scan the barcode on your cds and it can add the disc to your library, but it is often wrong, doesn't exist in their library (they seem to use Amazon's database) doesn't add all the data I am looking for (such as all the tracks), and you can't sort it easily.
