I am never going back to East Lansing...I swear to fucking Christ, two years in a row I have to deal with this shit. Fuck Bielema and his bullshit timeout call, do you really think with 30 seconds left you're gonna get the ball back and score with what, 12 seconds on the clock. Take overtime and be happy with it you idiot.

fucking two blocked kicks for a 10 point swing...fucking hail mary for the win...I am not taking this loss well....

Lol at the Bearcats breaking into the poll. Not sure how that happened, but we are nowhere near as good as we were 2 years ago. I guess a weak schedule so far gives you a good record which gets you some points.

LOL more at Brian Kelly.

See: Penn State. Our defense has had it moments despite giving up 27 and 24 points to Alabama and Northwestern(?!?), respectively. At this stage, we're the only 'Tide opponent to keep them under 30 points and stay within 20. I suspect they'll finish 1-3... not sure whether they'll beat Illinois or Ohio State.

Do you think there will be an article in 2014 titled "Travel expenses, lack of interest in rivals bankrupting once proud Mountaineer program"?

Yup, probably. Not ideal, but the BE is going down. Just a matter of time. No idea how the B12 is supposed to work, and to be honest I think most WVU fans are feeling pretty bummed in a way that we're gonna be in that conference.

I heard something over the weekend about the Big East, C-USA and Mountain West merging into some sort of enormous 32-team conference.

See, when you get to that point, I don't even see you as a real conference anymore. That's killing the drill.

I would prefer the Catholic/Jesuut schools in the Big East form a National Catholic Conference for all sports not football.

Providence
St. John's
Seton Hall
Villanova
Georgetown
Notre Dame
De Paul
Marquette

Plus

Loyola-Chicago
St. Louis
Canisius
Siena

You left out Boston College, Creighton and Gonzaga, along with Loyola-Marymount, Santa Clara and Saint Mary's. It would be a pretty solid East/West Basketball conference but pretty weak by BCS standards.

Farthest: WV to Texas Tech (Lubbock, TX) 1,469mi -- 25 hrs travel time
Closest: WV to Iowa State (Ames, IA) 872mi -- 14.5 hrs. travel time

This is why I'm :|

BE is a sinking ship, so the move to somewhere is necessary.

Needless to say, I won't be travelling to many WVU conference away games.

So completely sick of any and all conference realignment talk.

Good job Presidents and AD's. You are now on a level with Wall St. flunkies just scrambling for more scraps.

The NCAA should intervene and govern the conferences. It's pure anarchy now and everyone is worried about the almighty dollar instead of what's best for the players in terms of education and skill development.

Nice win by the Blackshirts. They completely shutdown the Spartans. Pelini is 2-0 against MSU all time. I hope the Huskers can survive November and make a January 1st or BCS game.

Holy shit am I hungover. Went through a bomber of Hoppin Frog's Double Pumpkin, a bomber of Sierra Nevada'a Estate Ale, about 8 bud lights, a Young's Double Chocolate, and it didn't even come close to quelling the adrenaline I had running through my body about 2 hours after the.....WIN OVER THE HATED GATORS.

It's a meaningless win on a national level but for me it feels like the fucking Super Bowl.

Life is good.

Also, a couple quick comments on yesterday:

1) Vandy - christ. Someone should've had that kicker on suicide watch last night.
2) Wisconsin - Oof. Brutal.
3) Texas Tech - way to handle success guys. Tuberville should be fired for that performance.

I think I drank 8 BLs and almost an entire 1/5 of Old Forrester.

Was literally screaming at the TeeVee for most of the afternoon. And promptly passed out after dinner - leaving the wife to clean up, and 4 half drunk buddies muttering at me.

Do you even remember talking to me on the phone after the game?

I managed to keep it between the ditches because we were at a Halloween party with lots of kids running around--further proof though that my wife is awesome: she didn't even question for a second that I would not be a dad during the game unless being a dad meant our daughter wanted to watch the game. Also got to clown a Florida fan which is a rare and enjoyable treat.

Big 10 is effed up so far... hard to get a read on teams.

Wisconsin destroys Nebraska
Nebraska comes back on Ohio State
Michigan State nips Wisconsin
Nebraska wallops Michigan State
Ohio State nips Wisconsin

I still think Michigan or Michigan State beats us for the Legends division. But Pelini is fantastic at getting his teams to play great in November, especially on defense. Our defense is starting to peak at just the right time. I really want another chance to beat Wisconsin!!! Hopefully, we get it. We run the table, we win the division... so that's good.

big 12 has similar insanity, with tech beating ou last week, then getting blown out by iowa state - also ou blowing out k-state this week, while previously-ranked baylor got odometer rolled by okie state, who I AM CONVINCED IS THE BEST TEAM IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL (i.e. the trademarked FT kiss of death)

With the game of the century coming up this weekend? You can't be serious, bobbo. Plus, OU will beat OSU by 14+ at Bedlam.

I honestly think OSU is better than OU this year. Their QB is a man...he's literally almost 40!
