nothing will ever touch the original, but it looks like my initial skepticism may prove to be unwarranted. When she asked, "Why would you want to raise your cholesterol?" I almost peed a little, seriously.

I keep forgetting to watch. I keep thinking it's on Thursday (the pilot was on a Thursday, right?).

I liked it a lot. This one was more of an uncomfortable funny than the previous one I had seen (diversity). Still, pretty funny nonetheless.

i enjoyed it. I think 6 Feet Under's Arthur is a good actor for Gareth's role. The show can't be the exact same, and besides an army reserve guy wouldn't be as funny to us. The only way they could make that character more like the original is to make him a volunteer fireman.

"Hot Dog Fingers" cracked me up, too.

Loved it, and love the original. I'm very glad to see this picking up its own personality after what I thought was a very lackluster debut. I just hope it gets a chance to pick up an audience, too.

Anyone know what the ratings have been so far?

Yea, she is growing on me a lot as well. Especially in episodes like last night where we see more of her playful nature. So cute.

After seeing the last two episodes, The Office officially has a place in my Tivo's season manager along with the Daily Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, and South Park.

i, too, am glad it got past the rehashed jokes of the pilot episode. last night was pretty funny, and the show has become a welcome lead-in into "the shield", which, as usual, was incredible.

Never saw the original, and thus have a clean slate with which to enjoy this one. Dug this episode, as did the wife.

I just don't like it all the much...I am love the original. I find it great that NBC would give something like this a chance as it is different (and better) than most comedies on the networks, I just think the writing needs to be a bit better. I just don't think the "David Brent" and the "Tim" characters are very funny in this version...the guy that plays "Gareth" is pretty good though.
