Squeeze had one. Can't remember the number. Hell, I can barely remember my own phone number.

There a song on the first Ghostface album where Cappadonna throws out:
"Smoke a blunt/and dial 917-1604-93(Eleven)" which, by my count is one too many numbers. I've always thought that was funny.

uh hmm

Hit me
Going, going, gone
Now I dialed 911 a long time ago
Don't you see how late they're reactin'
They only come and they come when they wanna
So get the morgue embalm the goner
They don't care 'cause they stay paid anyway
They teach ya like an ace they can't be betrayed
I know you stumble with no use people
If your life is on the line they you're dead today
Late comings with the late comin' stretcher
That's a body bag in disguise y'all betcha
I call 'em body snatchers quick they come to fetch ya?
With an autopsy ambulance just to dissect ya
They are the kings 'cause they swing amputation
Lose your arms, your legs to them it's compilation
I can prove it to you watch the rotation
It all adds up to a funky situation
So get up get, get get down
911 is a joke in yo town
Get up, get, get, get down
Late 911 wears the late crown

911 is a joke

Everyday they don't never come correct
You can ask my man right here with the broken neck
He's a witness to the job never bein' done
He would've been in full in 8 9-11
Was a joke 'cause they always jokin'
They the token to your life when it's croakin'
They need to be in a pawn shop on a
911 is a joke we don't want 'em
I call a cab 'cause a cab will come quicker
The doctors huddle up and call a flea flicker
The reason that I say that 'cause they
Flick you off like fleas
They be laughin' at ya while you're crawlin' on your knees
And to the strength so go the length
Thinkin' you are first when you really are tenth
You better wake up and smell the real flavor
Cause 911 is a fake life saver

So get up, get, get get down
911 is a joke in yo town
Get up, get, get, get down
Late 911 wears the late crown

Ow, ow 911 is a joke

"London's Burning"-The Clash

London's burning! London's burning!

All across the town, all across the night
Everybody's driving with full headlights
Black or white turn it on, face the new religion
Everybody's sitting 'round watching television!

London's burning with boredom now
London's burning dial 99999

999 is the 911 in other parts of the world

Noice! That's an underrated album, IMO. Trippin is one of my faves from back in thos days.

Mojo Nixon had one about Elvis (go figure). I can't remember the exact number, but it was something like:
"659-KING"

E.P. phone home!

You know how you can play tunes on a touch tone phone?

Well I was really bored one night so I deceided to ease this boredom by trying to work out various tunes on the phone. While doing that I without realising it pressed 999 and accidently phoned the emergency services. I got a bit of a shock when the operator came on the phone. Obviously I didn't want to say "Oh sorry I was playing a tune on my phone" so I just put the phone on the hook. I did that a couple of times but I couldn't get rid of her. It must be that when you phone them only the operator can cut you off.

Anyway I literally didn't know what to do. I couldn't tell the truth so I had to think of a excuse that sounded plausible. So after about literally 5 minutes of racking my brain and the operator saying things like "Is anyone there? Can you hear me? Are you in trouble?" I came up with something.

I confidently graspped the phone and say "Oh! Sorry about that, I was dusting and I accidently pressed 9 three times..."
