My wife is working on a movie trailer (yeah, cool job eh!?), for a Top Gunnish type film and needs a good balls out song. She looking for something along the lines of Blur's "Song 2" ("Whoo hoo!) or the Von Bondies "Come on, Come on." It's got to be as she calls it "cowboy"... not too emotional, just all out.

I love looking for music for her and I know some of you can do this off the top of your brilliant heads, and we both appreciate any ideas.

I was thinking that they would have something good. I don't have that album but I have the next three and found some possibilities;

Feel Good Hit Of The Summer
You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar But I Feel Like A Millionaire
The Sky Is Fallin'
Go With The Flow

I'm going to check out The Eagles of Death Metal next. Thanks for your help so far.

I'm not allowed to say... but I'm not saying it isn't! I'm on a strictly need to know basis.

Looks like The Vines "Get Free" is in the lead so far... she didn't like the QOTSA stuff, but listening again they have some kick ass songs.

Why doesn't she recycle some of that Bruckenheimer action-drama-meathead-dreck? To be honest, it sounds like that crap would meld well with this movie. And besides, that audience ain't gonna know the difference between bad and really bad music for film.*

Still, I'll play:
Brittany Fox - Girl's School
Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild
Kenny Loggins - Highway to the DangerZone

*Except chase.

Checked it out but sounded better in our minds than in practice. And besides you can't be beat to the punch by a dog show...

Very nice... thank you. I haven't even thought about Jellyfish since 1993. What were those boys on anyway? I think these choices all sound a bit too vintage. I think she want's some thing more current sounding.

That song is so gay... not that there is anything wrong with that.

I'll have to check it out. That album sounds like it rocks from what I previewed.

Word... that sounds sweet.

Thanks and keep the ideas coming.

I think the first two are perfect. She seems to be shying away from the punk stuff though, My first time hearing the Refused, me like. We'll see what she thinks... thanks.

And I have to say Apple'sMusic Store has had about 90% of these songs to preview. Pretty nicce.
