Big talk coming from a team (in it's current incarnation) with as many championships as the Knicks,...
As Derek Jeter says, 'Getting to the show doesn't mean anything unless you walk away with the gold'....
brag all you want come June, brotha!
till then, the Heat, the Knicks ain't no different then the Hawks or Sacramento Kings...We all losers.

Did Jason Whitlock make an appearance for the "clearly, I remember, picking on the boy... seemed a harmless, little prick" part?

Well, in it's current incarnation, Year 1 we fell 2 games short, Year 2 we currently hold the best record in the NBA. We shall see.

But damn did it feel good to see the Heat defense put an end to the Linsanity nonsense.

Also, Chalmers and Cole would like to thank Lin for letting them steal the ball resulting in both recording their first dunks of the season last night.

Lin says that they are welcome and he was sorry he could not respond personally, but he was locking up his brand new multi million dollar Nike endorsement....I'll ask him to send them a pair!

They said no worries, they're busy working on winning the Championship. NY aren't at the level of the Bulls, Thunder, Heat yet, so there's probably a slim chance for them. When the Linfluke blows over soon, Nike we re-neg that contract.

Oh, and LeBron has the endorsements covered ;-)

Good for them...Lebron needs all the help he can get....Wade, Bosh, those two schmo's.....granted, he won't be able to do it on his own!

Lebron is thrilled that, they too, decided to bring their talents to South Beach!
I bet it was high fives all around!

Individual games don't matter... :wanker:
We beat teams we shouldn't have. We lost to teams we shouldn't have...
All that matters is the end of June, my friend...
When 'choking awareness' week invades South Beach!

The individual games matter because they get you to the end.

The Heat will be there at the end of June again, while the Knicks bow out in the first round again, with Linsanity fading into obscurity.

See you in June!

&, I imagine, if Derrick has a brother, that brother doesn't smell nearly as bad as Tony's.

I've heard stories.

The NBA is so terrible. Does anyone here honestly watch these regular season games? I'm talking all 4 periods. Or do you just check the highlights?

It's all so numbingly predictable. I mean, who thinks anyone but Chicago and Miami are going to meet in the Eastern Finals?

What about Oklahoma City vs Lakers/Clippers/Spurs?

Maybe it's just my bitterness towards the Hawks ownership or that fact they're so vanilla and boring and going nowhere. There is so much annoyance at this team. You'd think they were 20 games out of 1st in the division and not the current 6th seed. BLECH.

I think the Heat win it all this year and it will surprise no one.

I love the NBA. I hate lots of the players and hate lots of things about the league itself, but I think it can be one of the most entertaining things in sports to watch. I don't watch all four periods of a game unless I'm at a game or if the Bucks are playing particularity well, which never happens. I thought we had something with Bogut and Jennings, but Bogut can't stay on the court and Jennings is a point guard who doesn't pass.

The East is a bit of a foregone conclusion, but the West is wide open. It would be fun to see the Heat and the Thunder in the finals.

I guess it just takes a certain sports fan to truly love it. No question, IMO, that the they are the best athletes in any sport and if you enjoy watching individual performances, it's the best. But, if you're like me, that needs to believe your team has a shot to not only improve but eventually win a Championship, it's a suckers sport. Unless you luck into that once a generation player, or are the benefit of a Heat style coup, your team will just flounder.

I think that's why the NFL is king. It sells hope better than any sport.

Totally agree with all of that.

Like I said, I hate things about the NBA, but love watching it.

I'm watching more NBA this year than the past 10 years. Something about last season's MAVS run (to your point, Derris, about predictability) and the some of the young talent/storylines going I'm finding it highly entertaining. Heat/Bulls tonight.

How can you not sit and watch an entire Heat game (show), even if they lose?

Chicago tonight. Should be an incredible game.
