The dream sequence CD that was included in early pressings of Olivia Tremor Control's "Dawn At Cubist Castle"

What's it sound like? Can you help hook an Ob up?

not bad, just... i don't know, very abstract? not huge on melodies/structure/intelligible vocals, etc...

though i've never played it in tandem, so i can't say for sure about that.

I have it. I like it quite a bit--and the Black Swan Network stuff is even better. The BSN I'll put on a play like a regular disc, the OTC second disc I used to put on a lot while studying.

PM me and I'll burn you a disc/send you files/etc.

Is Black Swan Network the thing where people sent in found sound tapes and they put them all together?
E6 fascinates me - not exactly a cult or commune, but this completely fluid music and art collective that wasn't afraid to try anything. I dig that.

PM coming yr way. Thanks.

there is some dream tape stuff that can be found on BSN (at least BSN's Late Music Vol. 1--I havent heard the OTC/BSN tour split from '99). But also on Black Foliage and the Circulatory System disc. A lot of it is unrecognizable though, cos they'll take the tapes and cut them up crazy-like and it's like musique concrete or something. but I dig it.

yeah concerning E6 it just boggles my mind that a group of individuals that large throughout the country could have that kind of cohesion. It's really unbelievable and sort of inspiring. Even today the collective still is pretty active and people still play on everyone else's records (Dressy Bessy guitarist plays in Apples in stereo and has another member who used to play in Minders who is doing a record with Robert of Apples/Marbles/Amer. Revolution who is also working with Circulatory System on their new record who has John who is touring bass with Elf Power and Heather who is also in Great Lakes whose leader Scott played horns in NMH.........)

that whole scene is just amazing to me and is terribly engrossing.

I'm such an E6 whore.
