Is that Killer Mike album produced by El-P all the way through? I'm kind of meh on Killer Mike, but love El-p's production. I might be checking that one out.

oh get over yourselves, i just didn't figure there was an audience for it here.

ana tijoux - la bala is probably my favorite album of the year at this point
los rakas - raka love (mixtape, not really indicitive of their style)
cuarto poder - como en vivo (real short mixtape, looking forward to the next full length and hopefully one from Apache - who about has the best flow i've heard in a while)

Good stuff, that last one was my favorite of the 3 songs...really loved the horns on that one.

i think it's from Smith's version of "Baby It's You" which was in that Quentin Tarrantino Grindhouse movie

i think that's one of my problems - for some reason I just don't care for mixtapes and mash-ups, which seems to be 50% of the material that's out there these days. i don't know why this is though, since i love mixes and compilations.

i don't either, so basically every "mixtape" i posted is basically an album, as in it's all original beats and everything.

hip hop needs to expand it's vocabulary, there should be different words for the different types of mixtapes.

perhaps not using the word "tape"

i enjoy all this but
it's gotta be way easier to rap in spanish than english.

you can pretty much rhyme on accident

True, I suppose. But that being said, the best flow I have ever heard was in Brazilian Portuguese.

I've been pushing killer mike here or on the hip-hop board since 06'...I guess it takes a good pf review to get people to listen.
