Since losing at home to the Clippers on March 9, the Spurs have gone 30-3...two of those three losses were ones where Popovich rested Duncan, Ginobili and Parker - none of them played a minute in either of those two games.

The average margin of victory during their current 16-game winning streak is 17.1 points.

This hot streak can't last forever, but I'm hoping it can at least continue through June.

Historically bad night for D Wade. A straight beat down. I don't know if they can summon the will to pull this series out. The Pacers are in their shit every play. I can easily see some ejections at some point. Regardless, I still maintain Bosh will be trade bait in the off season. They just do not have the pieces around them to get a title and they have no cap space. If Mario Chalmers doesn't shoot the lights out, it would've been even worse.

To be fair though, Roy Hibbert played out of his mind. Don't think he can keep doing that.

I like that Pacers team though. Bunch of role players getting it done.

As a Tar Heels rooter, how dare you refer to Tyler Hansbrough as a role player.

Well, Naismith Player of the Year winner is hardly an indicator of NBA success.

But, he's a solid player and gives them good minutes off the bench.

I predict Wade will be traded if they don't win it all this year.

Best line about this on Deadspin: Of course he picked a trilogy to read. If he had gone with a four-book series, he never would finish it.

Second place: Ringless Everbeen.

Might not finish that book, but he did finish with 40 pts, 18 rebs, and 9 asts yesterday.

Oh, I think the Lebron hate is overblown. Calling him "not clutch", or a "choker", after what he did to the Pistons in '07 (24 of the last 25 points for the Cavs in the pivotal game in the series), & taking a team to the Finals, in his fourth year, at 23, with a lesser supporting cast than Iverson had with the '01 Sixers -- that's just idiotic.

If anyone is a "choker" or "overrated", it's Wade. He lucked into a title in '06 -- Stern needed to make sure Cuban suffered a bit more, & made sure the refs knew to call the games as such -- & thought, hey, if I bring in my boys from the gold medal '08 team, I'll get another.

Wrong!

Wade proved his lack of big game in the '03 Final Four, when LooGAR's boys from KU put a whoopin' on Marquette. A star losing by 40!? Doesn't happen. Especially not in college, where one guy can take over a game. (To wit: the other guy at that Final Four who won the damn thing, Melo.)

Basically, what I'm saying, Lebron got played. He should have gone to New York -- & played for D'Antoni, with whom he would have been familiar from the Olympics, as well -- or Chicago -- teamed with Rose to approach MJ & Pippen's run (if it would have been Magic & Isiah, together).

I honestly think it's 50-50 as to which team wins this series, but think it's almost a 100% certainty it goes all 7 games regardless of who prevails.

It's the de facto NBA finals.

It's definitely shaping up to be a series for the ages. And, despite their pedigree, awesome play, and #driveforfive, I just can't find myself rooting for The Spurs. They're the basketball equivalent of Lunesta. Just typing this is making me drowsy. It's not that I hate them - I just MEH them.

New York is laughable. I'm pretty sure LeBron is happy in Miami.

See, beyond not wanting OKC to win for reason of how there came to be an NBA team in Oklahoma, I just get a feeling that if there's another athlete who will experience a fall from grace almost as improbable & loathsome as Rae Carruth or Steve Howe, it's Durant. I just think he's got an OJ Bronco Chase in him. Ergo, I don't want him to be a winner.

(Too, contrast that to Russell Westbrook -- the presumed thug of the Thunder -- of whom I think it likely to end up a buyer of Biz Markie's collection of Barbie Dolls. R-Dub is just a teddy bear, like John Lydon.)
