Frat boys burning text books to celebrate graduation burn down frat houseby Dennis Johnson

A group of fraternity brothers from Lousiana Tech University burning their textbooks in celebration of the end of the school year are believed by local authorities to have caused a fire that burned down their fraternity house.

According to a report from KSLA News by Carolyn Roy, the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house, and an apartment building next door, were completely destroyed in the fire.

Pi Kappa Alpha president (and sophomore) John Chestnut tells Roy, “I think some of the guys that were maybe doing an end of year celebration and burning some books or whatever, so we’ll look into that.”

According to police, “there were five students in the house at the time of the fire, which spread to an apartment building next door. All escaped unharmed. Two firefighters were injured when the roof of the fraternity house collapsed as they were cutting a hole for ventilation. One suffered a broken pelvis while jumping to safety and another suffered a knee injury. A third was treated for heat exhaustion.”

Oh shit. I saw on Facebook the Pike house had burned (including and explosion when it blew through the attic), but I didn't have any idea about the cause. Congratufuckinglations, dumbasses.
