Sooo... Steve Nash to the Lakers and some expectation that Bynum might be swapped for Howard, or Gasol to somebody for somebody.

I bleed what they used to call Forum Blue (which is purple) and I really want Kobe to get a few more rings before his wheels go completely, but Nash is 38.... it (the rings) better happen this year.

...and led the league in assists. Lakers need somebody who can distribute and hit an open 10 footer. He can do that as good as anybody. At this point it's mostly just staying healthy but I agree that this feels like a last gasp effort to get one more for Kobe.

I don't really think they needed someone who can distribute the ball as much as they needed someone who could defend against quick point guards and that isn't Nash. Bottom line though is even at 38, Nash is still a very good player and this is a clear upgrade for the Lakers. I just wish that they had someone with a different tool basket than Blake backing him up at the point.
