Never heard much Pogues. I thought you were gonna whip something up on your alcohol mix...didn't you play the Oscars game?

Anyway, this has piqued my curiosity, and when I get paid again, I think I may explore some of these.

Was it coincidence that I was sitting down to a pint of Guinness as I opened this thread, or kismet?

Ike Reilly's been covering "If I Should Fall From Grace With God". That should be enough of a pitch.

Hey, why not?

Is there a way to YSI a whole album w/o zipping it? When I go to choose my files, it only lets me do one song at a time.

Don't know of a way. Why you interested in a non-zip method?

b/c I only appear to have Stuffit Expander, and not the one that zips it up. It may just be stupidity.

You got a Mac, I take it? You should have zip capabilities too with DropZip as part of the Stuffit family.

I hit the finder, and I don't have shee. I'll get it from my pops when he gets back in.

I've wound up a mild fan of theirs accidentally. I played with a traditional Irish band's side project up here every monday for 2.5 years, and a lot of my favorites over that time were Pogues covers, Grace included. It's funny... I know a ton of those songs, but have never heard the Pogues do them.

There's good material in there, Senator. They're kissin cousins with anti-establishment country, ala Cash / Haggard.

I had a nephew tell me the Pogues "sound just like Flogging Molly."

And of course I had to lecture him on the "Green Day didn't invent punk either" tip for about an hour.

Yeah, I need to get that mix done. Haven't got around to it, being the dumbass I often am.
