Haven't listened to much new music this year. As it is, the only thing that comes to mind so far is the Killer Mike R.A.P. album, which is phenomenal.

good choices guys. not many repeats, the only repeats i could see were trampled by turtles, grizzly bear, and japandroids, none of which ive heard. Ive got some new music to check out.

3 votes for Trampled by Turtles. Looks like they made the crossover into music snob acceptance which would explain their seemingly sudden jump in ticket draw and being on festival lineups.

1 & 2 are easy:

Father John Misty - Fear Fun

Jay Farrar, Will Johnson, Anders Parker & Jim James - New Multitudes

3 is harder to nail down. going with the recency effect i'd put in Tame Impala or Grizzly Bear. but there are some strong albums from Cat Power, Damien Jurado, Justin Townes Earle, Andrew Bird and Richard Hawley that could just as easy fit the bill. oh, and Will Johnson's album. and Calexico.

yeah cloud nothings is great, i like it more and more with each listen. could easily see that and japandroids being 1 and 2

Tame Impala did not do it for me. Fuzzy washed out psych pop with not enough structure or hooks to keep my attention.
