Yeah, please no recount. I would prefer a definitive O win.

I like to picture the party getting crazy and raising you and your spreadsheet up on their shoulders. KYY-UL!! KYY-UL!!

I was envisioning him entering in the data at different points of the evening and then slowly raising his hand..........as a hush falls over the room............"we're at 186"...........*cheers*.

Later........a slowly raised hand........."the next President will be.............Barack Obama". *cheers*

Then, your scenario plays out with the spreadsheet.

And to be clear....I AM mocking.

Based on my drives in central/western Florida the past two weeks, I should give Florida to Romney (hundreds of Romey lawn signs, not one for Obama).

That and SouthEast Fla is Romney country for the most part.

I had suspected that based on the Faith & Freedom Coalition encounter (see CHH thread). Loogar, as usual, brought it home with his post.

I got the raised eyebrow from someone this weekend when I casually mentioned I had run hundreds of possible scenarios on RCP in my spare time.

What's weird and sad is that I told myself I wasn't going to get sucked into this election and I did anyway. Some habits never die.

Real question is: Will there be holograms?

I will chime in to say the polling place in my neighborhood was packed and Romney votes in my neck of the woods are rare. Sadly, the state as a whole is pretty red.

I did the mock swing state vote map yesterday. Mine actually came up to a flatfooted tie.

Scary scenario here. I know it's far-fetched, but not outside the realm of possiblity:

If, the electoral vote ends 269-269
If, there are no rogue electors
This leads to incoming House choosing POTUS with one vote per state: slam dunk for Romney
Incoming Senate chooses VP. If, Dems hold majority, likely Biden chosen VP

Odds of Presidential assassination within three months in this scenario?

I'm worried that if Barry wins some Crazy will try it. I was afraid when he won in '08, but if he wins a 2nd term, it'll go beyond CHH for many and into some seriously maniac territory. Of course that's only if Honey Boo Boo reruns aren't on.

Psh. They can't shoot him. If they do, Biden will become president and they'd hate that more.

Should I be worried at this point, or is it too early to be worried?
