Also, I've been listening to the new demos that I made over the weekend; same song, male and female versions:
FEMALE: http://soundcloud.com/poptodd/you-wrote ... g-rachel-1
MALE: http://soundcloud.com/poptodd/you-wrote ... jack-final
I didn't sing either. Matt's (Spade Kitty) fiancee sang the female voice, and her dad sang the male version. I don't think that it's a great song, but I do think that it has the potential to be a hit song. Especially with the right singer and production.

Swans: The Seer

If you're a fan of Michael Gira or Swans or Angels of Light or any of the rest at all, just go get this already. The press calling this the best thing they've ever done isn't misplaced.

this is super intense music. Not something that I can stomach on regular listens. I agree that it's a good album, but repeated listens aren't something I've enjoyed.

It's not amazing, but I like to hear Neil and the Horse jam and this is all the record is. Not really any solid songs.

Totally understandable. I wouldn't recommend this one for everybody. But, if Swans/Gira and the like is someone's thing, this is a great album. Personally, I can listen to this all day long.
