i like that song.

but i saw merchandise last week and was really underwhelmed. they sounded flat. they were using a drum machine and it wasn't cutting it. the guitar player sounded great, though.

I've yet to see them, but considering their from a hardcore/garage scene in Tampa, it doesn't make a ton of sense that they were "flat". All bands have off nights I guess. Haven't read any reviews whatsoever, so don't know if being flat live is a theme.

well, it's sort of strange because they still carry that DIY attitude. but they're not playing basements anymore. i don't know if they're not comfortable in real music venues or what the deal is. a friend who saw them at cmj last year had a similar reaction. carson's voice was also a little rough last week.
