you?

good choice. i'm loving that album.

mine, for right now, at this moment:

the national.abel

A buddy of mine is in a band that opened for The National lately, I think.

About that Dead Meadow...I've got another buddy who recommended it to me - can a brother get a RIYL?

everything i read before i heard said riyl black sabbath; blue cheer. now i ain't to up on my sabbath or cheer...but i hear shades of black rebel motorcycle club, warlocks, brian jonestown massacre, even some early verve t'boot.
my #1 album of '05 so far.

Today it's The National - 'Baby, We'll Be Fine' but I'm not entirely convinced by the album as a whole.

Let it Ride by Ryan Adams is probably number one of the songs I've been listening to lately. Also like Beast And Dragon, Adored by Spoon a lot.

They're sort of hard to define. Definite classic rock influence. A little Hendrix, Zeppelin, Sabbath with mystical lyrics about mountains, suns, etc. I saw them open for Super Furry Animals a couple of years ago and really like them live. I picked up a CD though and don't really like their studio stuff. I think if the lyrics weren't so boring I'd really like them a lot.

I am curious about the new one. Almost picked it up used the other day. It's supposed to be really good.

Vitalic - 'Repair Machines'

I've also had a strange need to play the old Divinyls track 'I Touch Myself'
