Maybe 2-3 times a month I'll drink quite a bit at a show or just hanging out with buddies and wake up with a righteous hangover. Last Friday was one of those nights, for instance.

I smoke a little weed at night or before shows. 1 drink or so a week. Days of snorting my whole paycheck away are definitely over.

But I bet they make for way better stories...

I've been the designated driver a few times, and I always find everyone really annoying / just want to go the fuck to bed already. Usually it's when we get babysitting and the Mrs wants us to take the motorcycle. It's probably very good for me, but makes me feel like a crabby old man.

I have a pretty regular happy hour circuit, which, for better or for worse is actually a pretty big part of doing my job. Whatever is that I actually do.

So the drugs would even it all out?

What are some examples of what you "actually do" that revolve around a "regular happy hour circuit"?

Took Neuro and some of his other buddies out this weekend for his bachelor drinks. Stayed out til after 2, which was fun (and it's been awhile). Got him out before he was too drunk to bike himself home, but still fairly drunk. 2 of the other guys were exactly what I needed -- fun, happy, encouraging but not "look I bought you shots you didn't want wtf drink them don't be a pussy." One guy veered to the latter. Great guy, just kind of a jock. At one point I laughed and said "man, I'm 38. I know how to take care of me."

c'mon cap'n, can you stay out one more night? I'm coming to boston at the beginning of september.
