I posted something on my Facebook page about how I discovered punk rock as a teenager. In my diatribe I commented how I did not expect Meat Puppets to be able to play their instruments all that well since they were "punk."
Naked Raygun bass player Camilo Gonzalez responded to my post about how he was sick of hearing folks talking shit about punk musicianship.
I don't know Camilo, but I played bass on my old punk band's cover of NR's "Rat Patrol."
Too cool.

I saw this. It's pretty amazing that it's a real shot. Like, it's a real thing that actually happened.

Apparently the juvenile weasel is trying to kill / eat the woodpecker, and it didn't work.

I had a great night out at Ariel Pink's show in London last night, despite taking over an hour trying to find
the car after the gig in the rats maze that is the back streets of Camden, otherwise I had a splendid time.

Image
I must have walked past this place dozens of times but had never been in before,
it's like a Tardis, a simple doorway on the street on the outside and well spacious inside.

Image
Ariel wore a fetching butterfly shirt and a tight pair of pink jeans

Image
however, the drummer trumped him with a delightful bikini set, floppy hat and an Iron Cross

Image
the 8 piece band may no longer be called Haunted Graffiti but they may as well have been

Image
Picture Me Gone was one of the highlights

Image
the band finished off with a two song encore

Image
on the way back to the car we passed a massive queue snaking along Camden High Street at 11pm,
asking a bloke wandering about "who are they waiting for?" the one word reply "Kanye" told us all we needed to know.
It then took me a bloody hour to find the car and I really, really needed a wee, so the evening ended on a bit of a downer.

I just found where I left my wallet yesterday... a liquor store. Should've known.

Last year at some point I left mine at the employee of a liquor store's house

the only thing I remember is sprinting to the liquor store before it closed.

Kids today.
A girl I was talking to last night uttered the phrase; "I was working as a waitress at a cocktail bar," and had no idea why it made me start laughing.
