You're telling me you're the only person alive who wouldn't give life and limb to see Mr. Springsteen in the flesh?

And you're lumping him in with Dream Theatre?

You're dead to me.

DT was the only one of those that was outright musically awful. And I have lots of love for the Bruce--that gig is in my top 5 of all time, without doubt. But it was expensive and I was broke and the time/place was inconvenient and I didn't go to many gigs in those days and I doubt I would have gone had SO not been a HUGE fan.

I don't want to be dead to you on account of this. Is there anything I can say? I would for sure see the Boss again were the opportunity to arise.

Your love for The Boss shines through in your reiteration. you are therefore alive in my eyes, and would be a bit worse for the wear if not for the rampant bike/helmet advice. I mean, Dream Theatre?

I can't believe the guy made you pay for your own Springsteen ticket, especially when you were broke and the two of you were seeing each other. The deadness in my eyes is now only for him, and my heart soars for you as a blue jay soars in it's, um, way...

Make that the second person alive. I am number one. Could not possibly care less about giving a rat's ass about The Boss.

Hurrah!

Dude, it was Dream Theatre twice. I was too young to know better, I guess. Shudder.

Thanks for the support Obners!! I sent flowers to her office today, and got a great phone call and told her that I was scouring Ebay and Craigs List for tickets, and all she said was "you're hilarious" in a good way, so maybe off the hook, but I'm still going to be a stand up guy and take her.

The silver lining is, thank all that is holy that Sarah McLachlan is not coming to Seattle as she also loves her and I don't think I could get through that one.

The real question is, why aren't you taking her to see Springsteen? I hear it's what a stand-up guy does.

She doesn't really like him, so she's now dead to Postmersh.

He's the Obner spree-killer.

Well, there has to be a catchier name for it than that... Like a song, or something, that I could incorporate into the name. Like, how Richard Ramirez was the "Night Stalker", after the AC/DC song.

I don't know. Maybe instead of Obner spree-killer... "Laika", since Arcade Fire is de rigeur (sp?) here?

But I also have one resurrection, and the other two were assumed deaths...

I'm like that guy who uses his mind in that movie to inspire lust for himself in women and kill people...what's that one called again?

Oh yeah... Mind Killer. That was a bad movie...

The only show that currently comes to mind that I went to cause of a guy I was dating and didn't care for was Wire a couple years ago.

It hurt my fucking ears. Think I was deaf for several days after.

And though they're not awful, they just ain't my thing: Went to see Ween with Josh about two mos into relationship.

I still remember: in ninth grade the police liaison (Officer Fletcher) was doing a presentation in my sixth hour class, about juvenile drinking parties (I think), and to warm us up, he tried to prove how hip he was. So, he talked about going to the Rave to see this "really cool band", and could we guess who it was?

Crickets.

Turned out, it was Tesla.

AWWWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
